Your Dying Spouse 648 - Excuses

I sure know how to excuse my own failures, but that no longer helps here.

Cancer's unsympathetic. It doesn't care about the reasons I have to fail.

Sometimes you just have to make an excuse to keep going, and to win.

There's more to be said, but not enough of me to say it, right now. Just being here with this is a win.

When everything is coming loose
and you can’t see where to begin,
you must come up with an excuse,
a good excuse to win.
There are many ways to quit,
some honourable exits, too,
but the honour is the worst of it,
and that bill is coming due.
No need to think outside the box,
you’re locked in, come what may.
Just pay heed to the big dumb ox
whose endurance rules the day.
The yoke may not be easy, or light,
but while you live, you’re in the fight.

Music from Christopher Cross, with Ride Like The Wind.

Thanks to Carol Ashby, Blessed Are The Pure Of Heart is back on Kindle, and will be available in paperback soon.

Friends are everything. I couldn't have done it.

Marley, the canine waif from Afghanistan, whom WE helped save, has a Facebook page! Please drop by to see how happy he is today.

Below are my recent releases on Kindle -please excuse their presence in the body of the blog. I haven't the energy to get them up as 'buttons' in the sidebar. You can click on the covers to go to the Amazon links.

  2. Awww, friend. You've both been in my prayers a ton. And that song? I haven't heard it in ages It was interesting to listen to the lyrics. :) Sometimes we do ride like the wind . . . let's just make sure we're riding in the right direction.

    Sending prayers your way today.

    1. Jeanne, sometimes what seemed like the right direction was wrong...

...and sometimes what seemed the wrong direction was God's choice.

      Weird how that works out.

We thank you so much for your prayers!
