Your Dying Spouse 564 - One Word For 2019

Well, God's given me my One Word for 2019.

A little while ago I slipped on an icy porch step, and landed heavily on the concrete slab. I was able to twist while airborne, so I didn't hit the (concrete) steps. That would have been kind of bad.

I think I did fracture my pelvis, though. Right leg thinks it's got a bad poker hand; it wants to fold.

So, the One Word?

BOOM!

And here's a video clip to go with it, from Avengers: Infinity War.

Thanks to Carol Ashby, Blessed Are The Pure Of Heart is back on Kindle, and will be available in paperback soon.

Friends are everything. I couldn't have done it.

Marley, the canine waif from Afghanistan, whom WE helped save, has a Facebook page! Please drop by to see how happy he is today.

Below are my recent releases on Kindle -please excuse their presence in the body of the blog. I haven't the energy to get them up as 'buttons' in the sidebar. You can click on the covers to go to the Amazon links.

  1. Jane, it was really a funny moment. Especially since Denali The Happy Husky, who witnessed it, wore two simultaneous expressions:

    1) "Oh, crap, Dad's airborne!"
    2) "At least he's not going to fall on ME!"

You're always in our thoughts and prayers.

Yes, keep praying. That's the best answer. I so appreciate your honesty and your humor. and yes, I really, truly will keep praying for you. Hugs, friend.

  3. LOVE this word, but so sad about your fall!
A word should be personal, and this is... It brought me real joy because beyond a fall, there are so many ways this could be applied! God loves a good challenge, it seems. :)

Take care of yourself! So grateful, always, for your wit and perspective...

  4. Ouch. I cannot even imagine how that felt on your already broken and beaten up body. Sorry I haven't been around lately, no excuses... just life. But Jerry and I always have you guys in our prayers. I find it a miracle by God's own hand that you're still here and fighting, still mentally with it, and still have plenty of humor to boot. You are definitely a warrior in so many ways. Blessings!

    1. Diana, it's so good to see you here! You and Jerry have been in our thoughts and prayers.

I think that part of the reason I am still here is because I always enjoyed fighting (and love rugby), and one more fight...bring it on! Life would be boring without battle.

      Well, for me.

      Blessings back!
