But I'm in good company, because even Jesus, in the Garden of Gethsemane, felt despair.
There's no shame in how you feel, because it's what you DO that counts.
I used to think that 'doing' was a ind of chest-beating ferocious opposition...if pain made fifty push-ups hard, I'd do a hundred. So there.
But it's far simpler than that.
Doing is simply this.
Thy will be done.
Just for fun, here are the Carpenters with For All We Now.

DeleteAndrew, I read a post you wrote last year on Bronwyn's blog, bronlea.com, posted 6/22/17 titled "Terminal and Loving Every Minute". It was wonderful to hear your perspective... So I was wondering if you might consider reposting it here? Definitely worth a repeat even for those that saw it last year.
Love & prayers for you & Barbara,

Kathryn, I'm surprised, kind of, to have late so long beyond that post on Bronwyn's blog! I'm glad you enjoyed reading it, and I'll ask Bronwyn if it would be OK with her if I reposted it.
DeleteThanks so much!
Keep on keeping on.
ReplyDeleteI will, Jan. Thank you so much for being here. Your kindness and gracious support are appreciated more than I can say.
DeleteDespair: da-spare tire... part of the breaking down 'deal' before you get the new replacement. .......... "they will be done" : just getting outta the way while The Mechanic does his thing............. (I hear the waiting time has a lot to be desired!) Take care, friend. Praying for peaceful rest and sleep.
ReplyDeleteI love the metaphor, Jane! It's perfect!
DeleteThank you so much for your prayers; we're praying for you, too.
