Have you heard of kintsugi?
It's the art of repairing cracked pottery and ceramics with powdered gold or silver, mixed with lacquer.
Each repair is unique. The damage becomes part of the beauty.
It does take time and care.
Sylvia understands. We found her dying in a summer field. It took awhile for her to thrive.
How very grateful I am for the Lord's restorative work in my life! I hope Sylvia is doing well!
ReplyDeleteJoanne, me too! I enjoy fixing broken things; I suspect God enjoys it as well. Sylvia sends love and would send ice cream, but it would melt, so she'll eat it in your honour.
DeleteKintsugi is such an apt metaphor for God's reconstructive work!
ReplyDeleteMichele, isn't it indeed lovely how God can raise the broken to Beauty?
