People like to talk about Christmas movies... but what do you read at Christmastime?
Something new, or a personal tradition?
For me it's William Barrett's The Left Hand Of God, a story of redemption and risk set in post-WW2 China.
Every year.
What about you?
Sylvia, unfortunately, can't read. Not that it bothers her when there's ice cream to be had.
Some years ago, Audible gave away a free copy of The Christmas Hirelings by Mary Elizabeth Braddon. I’d never heard of it, but it’s a delightful older book. Sounds a little Dickensian but isn’t. I’ve read or listened to it several Christmases.
ReplyDelete'Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!'
ReplyDeleteI've listened to Catching Christmas by Terri Blackstock the last two years. I laugh and cry each time.
ReplyDeleteI’m a traditionalist and LOVE Dickens’s Christmas Carol!
