Sometimes you have to just doff your ballcap, in awe.
I
will step aside today,
by
my, and not by cancer's, choice,
in
the hope that you will stay
to
listen to a brighter voice
that
speaks hard truth with love and grace,
and
sings faith in angelic tone
that
would bring tears to iron face
and
rend a heart of granite-stone.
And
so I ask you, stop awhile,
and
hear these things that must be heard,
and
at the end, perhaps you'll smile
as
your heart holds every word
so
simply offered as a plea,
“Please
don't turn away from me.”

ReplyDeleteI am speechless. And it is okay. Andrew, it is okay. Thank you. It is okay. To be lost sometime. We lose our way. He never loses His way. He IS THE WAY. Blessings because it is okay.
ReplyDeleteWow, thank you for sharing that video. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAmie.
Crying my eyes out, thank you for this. Wow. As always, I am sending you much hope and joy today. <3 (Karen, FMF #24)
ReplyDeleteIt's such a powerful video. Her blog posts are too. She's beautiful. We won't turn away from you. I always read your posts but don't always post a response. Praying hope and strength for you, my friend. My closest cousin is now battling cancer. It breaks my heart. She has hope. We can handle almost anything if there is hope. Take care and God bless.
ReplyDeletethinking of you and Barbara as we head into this weekend ...
ReplyDeleteI've seen this video posted several times over the last couple weeks, and I watch it every single time. And cry every single time. It is a heartbreaking joy to watch. God bless and keep you, Andrew. You are in my prayers. FMF#28
