Your Dying Spouse 681 - Beyond Tomorrow

It's kind of a mark of decline when 'the good old days' were last week.

What I could do then, I can't do now. What I could hope for then seems out of reach today.

But somehow, one goes on. For God, for family, for country.

I just heard a TV preacher say, "We're going to praise God for what He's about to do in our life."

Wrong.

We praise God for Who He Is.

Beyond the last tomorrow,
beyond the sea of stars,
beyond the strength I borrow,
an offering to Mars.
Beyond the pain and darkness,
beyond the coming light,
beyond a heart that hearkens
to the joy found in the fight.
Beyond victorious battle,
beyond the vale of tears,
beyond the sad death-rattle,
lie the corpses of the years.
And I will walk beyond this day
in the steps of He who showed the way.

And here's Perry Como, with his lovely ballad...wait for it...Beyond Tomorrow.

Thanks to Carol Ashby, Blessed Are The Pure Of Heart is back on Kindle, and will be available in paperback soon.

Friends are everything. I couldn't have done it.

Marley, the canine waif from Afghanistan, whom WE helped save, has a Facebook page! Please drop by to see how happy he is today.

Below are my recent releases on Kindle -please excuse their presence in the body of the blog. I haven't the energy to get them up as 'buttons' in the sidebar. You can click on the covers to go to the Amazon links.

  2. Andrew, this entire post is absolutely beautiful. You're right, we praise God in the now, for who He is now. He is unchanging and always faithful. Your poem speaks to my heart. Our Lord is in the now, but He's also beyond this temporal place. Thank you for giving me encouragement today. Hugs and prayers, friend.
