Your Dying Spouse 544 - Not My Way

I figure you're all familiar with the Frank Sinatra standard, My Way. And yes, you can click on the video below to hear it.

It's a nice song; both wistful and defiant, a summing-up of a life lived on one's own terms.

And it has nothing to do with my life.

Now, right here, I'd like to say, "I didn't live it my way; I lived life His way."

But I think God would look askance at that kind of tall tale. In places I tried, but I didn't live it His way, either.

I just lived, pretty well reacting to both obstacles and opportunities. I failed way more than I achieved, and there's a lot of places where there are no footprints on the sand of my life-path.

See, God was carrying me because I had both feet in my mouth.

Thanks to Carol Ashby, Blessed Are The Pure Of Heart is back on Kindle, and will be available in paperback soon.

Friends are everything. I couldn't have done it.

Marley, the canine waif from Afghanistan, whom WE helped save, has a Facebook page! Please drop by to see how happy he is today.

Below are my recent releases on Kindle -please excuse their presence in the body of the blog. I haven't the energy to get them up as 'buttons' in the sidebar. You can click on the covers to go to the Amazon links.

  1. Oh my, Andrew, still always the comic!! I am sure you did a lot of your life YOUR way, but much more of it HIS way!! Thank you for continuously keeping us laughing and inspired and encouraged...your words do that!! Prayers; and of course, the HUGS for you and Barb. I haven't been writing much; yet my comments on Facebook are quite lengthy. Perhaps that is my writing for now?! Hang in there, Andrew! He just isn't ready for you yet!!!

I'll keep going. Still some things to do, and yeah, God isn't done with me yet.

      The Happiest Thanksgiving to you!
