Your Dying Spouse 454 - Embrace It

Andrew here, for something really short. It hurts too much to do more.

Embrace your pain. Hold it close, and you will feel the still-strong arms of the broken and bloodied Jesus holding you right back.

And together, you and He can ascend the Via Dolorosa. Supporting each other.

You may be walking to your death, as I am.

But you're not walking alone.

Music is from the Foo Fighters, with Walk from the movie Thor.

Please pardon my slow response to comments. I do my best, and your comments are really precious to me.

I'm not sure when or if I'll be back. I'm so glad Barbara's stepped in. I'm really not doing well at all.

Thanks to Carol Ashby, Blessed Are The Pure Of Heart is back on Kindle, and will be available in paperback in a few days!

Friends are everything. I couldn't have done it.

Marley update... been moved to a sanctuary, and Bay County will revise their 'dangerous dog' codes.

WE MADE A DIFFERENCE!

And marley has a Facebook page! Please drop by to see how happy he is today.

If you can, please do leave a comment. I am trying to answer all, and I am failing, but please know this - I read and treasure each one.

Below are my recent releases on Kindle -please excuse their presence in the body of the blog. I haven't the energy to get them up as 'buttons' in the sidebar. You can click on the covers to go to the Amazon links.

  1. What a comfort to know that we do not walk alone; Jesus goes with us.

Praying for peace and strength for you tonight as you walk your hard road. May the Lord be near to you and provide what you need.

    1. Rachel, indeed, Jesus' presence is the greatest comfort of all, and I feel Him close by my side, every day.

Thank you so very much for your prayers. They are needed. It's getting kind of hard to bear, the pain.

  3. Pain is a study in itself. There are so many ways pain touches our lives. Life is very strange. I've been quite philosophical today. What if our view of who God is has a lot to do with who we are? What if God shows different sides of himself to different people? What if our past shapes our understanding of God? Most people would refute such questions, but what if? Because of physical pain, you could see it differently than, say, someone not in pain. Yet, the pain can drive a person toward God for his shelter and help. I see God as kind, loving, and caring. I also see him as just, holy, and omniscient. I'm trying to work some of these out in my mind so my writings speak the truth of who God is and according to Scripture. It really matters. Any thoughts?
