Your Dying Spouse 304 - Spin Cycle

Heck of a weekend. I am introduced to words like 'chest pain' and 'cyanosis' - not from the heart, but from abdominal swelling.

Whatever.

So this will be short.

In the gyre of worsening symptoms and failing horizons, I offer hope - in four letters.

ABBA

No, not that Abba (though He is the ultimate hope), but this one, for now and today...

Let's dance!

  1. THAT Abba gives us music to fill our hearts with joy and hope, doesn't He!

May today find you humming some kind of melody, friend ...

  8. Fun song! I had not even heard of this group until recently! I guess they came along right after I finished high school. So sorry you're having such a hard time, but thank you so much for still finding the strength to be inspiring! Bless you, dear Andrew!

  9. I do hope you are feeling better this evening, Andrew. It seems that music has been a comfort to you and this song certainly lifts our spirits when we hear it. I'm praying for you the "Papa" prayer you mentioned above, my friend. I know that if if breaks my heart to know you're suffering (which it does), it is exponentially more heart-breaking for the Father to see you suffer. I hope you can sense that even in your pain.

    1. Beth, I wish I were better...but unfortunately the service dogs had to revive me again, and canine CPR may have broken a couple of ribs. But I'm here.

Music does indeed lift my spirits, especially...wait for it...DISCO!

I do feel Abba-Daddy's pain at my suffering, and He has vouchsafed me the knowledge that He would do anything He could to remove it...except to remove it, because that would negate His Purpose, and in the end would negate, well, ME.

Don't know His plans, but I trust Him.

Thank you so much for your prayers, and for being here in love and support. It means a lot.

  12. Andrew, that Abba song will be going through my head for the rest of the day. :) Thanks. I think. ;)

I'm so sorry about the increasing pain and the swelling. So sorry.

I love that music is helping you through this. And, I never pegged you for a DISCO guy. ;)

    Praying for you, friend.

    1. Jeanne, you're very welcome! It's a worthy song. A happy one.

Never did dance, but I like the upbeat music that disco gave us. And mirror balls, a close cousin to Lava Lamps!

Thank you so much for the kind thoughts, my friend, and especially for the prayers.

    1. Mary, I did go to dance class when I was a kid...unfortunately, it was taught by a chap who also taught judo.

"May I challenge you to a dance?"
