Your Dying Spouse 606 - Cremation

When I die they're gonna torch me;
this I've asked, and this I know.
But yes,  I will ask the courtesy
of their playing 'Disco Inferno'.
I want to imagine grim-faced techs
dancing to the joyous tune
and it's not often one selects
the ambience of the burning room.
Let's think back to polyester,
Donna Summer, and gold chains
and not allow sorrow to fester
while we flame the sad remains.
In dying, to heaven I will have awoke,
so let's put laughter in the smoke.

And there can be no other musical accompaniment but this:

Thanks to Carol Ashby, Blessed Are The Pure Of Heart is back on Kindle, and will be available in paperback soon.

Friends are everything. I couldn't have done it.

Marley, the canine waif from Afghanistan, whom WE helped save, has a Facebook page! Please drop by to see how happy he is today.

Below are my recent releases on Kindle -please excuse their presence in the body of the blog. I haven't the energy to get them up as 'buttons' in the sidebar. You can click on the covers to go to the Amazon links.

  5. I have been trying to think of something slightly snarky, but I'm not good at snark on the fly. I will cry a few tears just for the missing of you. But everything else will be a massive celebration that you are in heaven in no more pain. Sending you prayers and gentle hugs on this side of the veil.

  7. I'm late to the game of knowing you (but I have gone back and read every single post!), but even though I've known you such a short time and we've never met, I can't imagine the moment when that possibility is gone. For now, I still have the idea that one day I'll meet you and Barbara.
