Your Dying Spouse 577 - Finest Hour

I really hate to say it's getting worse, but man, it really is. I stand up, and have to turn around a few times to equalize the pain so I can walk. And the new chest-wall tumours are UG-LYYYY!

I mean, if your wife has to puke when she sees you, then REALLY???

The very worst of days - like today - gets this:

You may think you've won,

as your malignancies march on.
You may think I'm done,
that all strength is finally drawn
from that reservoir I built
through all the endless days
that you stabbed me to the hilt,
then turned the knife sideways.
You're gloating in the throne
and wear lethality's crown,
for pancreatic cancer's known
to bring the strongest down.
But hearken ye these words as ye my guts devour;
I am coming back from Hell; this is my finest hour.

Over to Winston Churchill.

Thanks to Carol Ashby, Blessed Are The Pure Of Heart is back on Kindle, and will be available in paperback soon.

Friends are everything. I couldn't have done it.

Marley, the canine waif from Afghanistan, whom WE helped save, has a Facebook page! Please drop by to see how happy he is today.

Below are my recent releases on Kindle -please excuse their presence in the body of the blog. I haven't the energy to get them up as 'buttons' in the sidebar. You can click on the covers to go to the Amazon links.

  5. Prayers for you rising to the one who has risen and defeated death, and hell is a place that would make now look pleasant but you will never know, so hold tight my friend, it may get worse here, but eternity is close and you are going to shine in his everlasting light. You are a light to many in their own dark place.
