You Dying Spouse 496 - God Only Knows

It's bad, bad, bad. Cancer doesn't quit. I wish it would. I'm so tired.

God only knows where I would be without my dear wife Barbara, and her tender care.

You can't do it alone. At least, I can't.

Ove to The Beach Boys, with God Only Knows.

Please pardon my slow response to comments. I do my best, and your comments are really precious to me. Barb is answering many of them now. I'm running on fumes, if you don't mind a macho metaphor.

I'm grateful for the energy to have written this. I'm so glad Barbara's stepped in for many of my posts. I'm really not doing well at all.

Thanks to Carol Ashby, Blessed Are The Pure Of Heart is back on Kindle, and will be available in paperback soon.

Friends are everything. I couldn't have done it.

Marley update... been moved to a sanctuary, and Bay County will revise their 'dangerous dog' codes.

WE MADE A DIFFERENCE!

And marley has a Facebook page! Please drop by to see how happy he is today.

If you can, please do leave a comment. I am trying to answer all, and I am failing, but please know this - I read and treasure each one.

Below are my recent releases on Kindle -please excuse their presence in the body of the blog. I haven't the energy to get them up as 'buttons' in the sidebar. You can click on the covers to go to the Amazon links.

    1. Lisa, you're so right. I used to think I could hack it all myself...how wrong I was, and how blessed I am!

  5. Jesus, be with Andrew and Barbara in the fire - unscathed, not even smelling of smoke.

    1. Misty, so am I. More of a blessing than you might guess...we were divorced, and then remarried.

I'd be lost without her, and am so glad I realized it back then.

    1. My favourite too, Mary! And thank you so much for the prayers, from all of us. (The dogs have a job of work when Barb's not here...if I collapse in the yard, they have to drag me to shade,so they've got to be vigilant.)

  9. I am grateful you're hanging in there. I am thankful you have Barbara and for her strength and endurance, and I pray that God's presence is of comfort to both of you. It has to be stressful besides all the other stuff.

I pray to our merciful Father that he may grant mercy to you, and would ease your suffering. I pray when the pain is winning out that God would intercede on your behalf. Oh Father, please ease Andrew's suffering. Please do something miraculous, I ask it in your holy and just name, in Jesus precious name, Amen.

    1. My dear Norma, thank you for this...it is indeed very stressful, probably more for Barbara than for me. I'm not resigned, but I'm at peace; Barb wants so much to do something, anything, but there's nothing to be done. And that hurts her.

And thank you for the lovely grace of the prayer!

  10. Prayers, prayers, prayers. And thanking God for Barbara. And for you hanging in there. And for all the other stuff only He knows about in your days fighting that ugly beast. And then more prayers on top of all of that.
