Your Dying Spouse 170 - Caregiving and Rain Checks

Need a rain check today. Had a bad fall, and there's no way to organize thoughts for writing.

Except to say that this does happen for caregivers, too. You can be so 'used up' that you can't meet your commitments and obligations.

Offer a rain check without shame. You wouldn't give someone with a broken leg a hard time; why would you hold yourself, with a broken heart, to a more brutal standard?

If you can, please do leave a comment. I am trying to answer all, and I am failing, but please know this - I read and treasure each one.

Below are my recent releases on Kindle -please excuse their presence in the body of the blog. I haven't the energy to get them up as 'buttons' in the sidebar. You can click on the covers to go to the Amazon links.

  1. I'm so sorry to hear about your fall. I lifted you up to the Great Physician that He will touch you with His healing balm for physical healing and for comfort emotionally. I also prayed that He would provide helpers to stand in the gap while you are recuperating.

    Blessings to you.

    1. karen, thank you so much for the prayers, and please pardon my delayed reply.

No helpers, but He gave me the will to overcome pain and dizziness, and carry on. All I can ask, really.

Thanks so much for being here!

    1. Jan, thank you. Still recovering, but at least when it hurts I'm still alive!

    1. Norma, thank you so much. It has been hard, but I am doing my best to put on a positive face, and, to Barb's annoyance, to joke about it. (That can be more dangerous than the accident.)

Thank you so much for being here!

  4. I'm sorry, Andrew. Praying for healing and strength. The kind you need and the kind Barb needs. May you be calm, and feel His presence today.

    1. Thanks so much, June. Very insightful, what you say...for the kinds of strength that are needed are very different, not only from our different 'roles' here, but for the different personalities barb and I have (not to mention life experiences).

You've just inspired a subject for a new post, if I have the energy!

      I appreciate your being here.

    1. Tiffany, thank you so much. I may not bounce back all the way, but, like Tigger, I DO bounce.

Hope you like what you find on Amazon. I did put a lot of love into everything I wrote. I hope that shows; it's my legacy.

      So glad you are here1
